Jan. 2nd-3rd, Patrick and I took 10 of our MBSF students to a college retreat in Little Rock. This was only the 2nd yr. for this conference, and it's put on by one or two of the other MBSF ministries around the state. The theme for the wknd. was 'Refresh' and it was exactly that! It was held @ one of the hotels near downtown LR. Wonderful praise & worship, yummy catered food, fantastic speakers, fun games, and great fellowship w/ new friends from around the state consumed the 2 days. We took an amazing mix/group of our students and enjoyed the extra one-on-one time w/ them throughout the wknd. It was not an easy task to expect them to leave their families for a couple days during their holiday break from college. So, we were so thankful to those who came w/ us!
Kennedy got to spend some quality time w/ my Aunt Vicki and Uncle Kirk in Ft. Smith Fri. night and Sat. She had SO much fun and talked a/b them for days after their time together! They seemed to truly enjoy it as well of course! They had her all to themselves, except when they took her to Nana/Grandad's to visit w/ more of the family Fri. night. They were so surprised!
Except for the students who already lived in/around central AR & stayed @ their own homes, the rest of our group got to stay Fri. night w/ my Aunt Pat/Uncle Jim who live in LR (one of Dad's brothers). I loved getting to spend some extra time w/ family for even just one night, and getting to introduce them to several of our students as well. They treated us wonderfully as they woke up Sat. morning and make homemade Belgian waffles for ALL of us! Fruit, juice, waffles...the works! It was SOOOO yummy and we were EXTREMELY appreciative!
We hope to take even more students w/ us next yr. to the conference!

The pics from the conference look great! A friend of ours (Kayla from the UCA MBSF) is is the blond with the glasses on in one of the pics. I think the caption for the pic was "some of our students." She went to Derrick's church back home. How funny to see someone unexpectedly on your blog. Hope things are going good for the Pulleys. Love ya'll, Audra
