This Summer has obviously been a little different than most w/ a newborn and all, but fun nevertheless! I haven't been able to stay outside as much or as long as I'm used to (and Kennedy is used to), since it's been too hot for Will. However, the last couple of weeks have brought some abnormally cool August temperatures that we've truly enjoyed here in NWA!
Kennedy has been great on the days when she wants to stay outside longer than her Bubba is able to b/c she just plays on her swing set in the back yard by herself. Lancer and Bailey (our Retrievers) help keep her company of course, but she has done great entertaining herself when needed. She loves to ride her little (motorized) jeep around the yard, eat snacks up in her "clubhouse", fill the dogs water bowl repeatedly, etc. And many days we've been able to do some play dates w/ friends to keep her busy! She loves her friends SO much and looks forward to ANYtime she knows she'll get to see one or more of them. She often says, "...and meet new friends?!" whenever she finds out that we're a/b to head somewhere. Church, a play date, the grocery store...ANYwhere! : ) She is a very compassionate little girl who has a passion for the friendships she's already made. I'm so proud of her!
...playing outside and working up a good sweat!
...some more good 'ole sunset fishing trips!
As well as trips to the park (@ Lake Fayetteville mostly).
...day trips to church camps w/ Daddy!
(Patrick took Lil' Miss along to a couple church camp trips where he was doing a little recruiting for our college ministry.)
...delicious in-season home-grown tomatoes/cucumbers and fresh egg salad sandwiches! Yummy!
...more of Daddy's softball games w/ our friends.
...relaxing dinner plans w/ close friends!
...more lovely naps. (Much-needed naps) : )
...fun play dates (ex: splash park w/ Peyton and Leah).
...hilarious ceiling fan watching!
...daily walks/jogs using our new sit 'n stand stroller (Thanks Brandy!).
As well as some fun, impromptu visits w/ neighbors!
...delicious breakfast foods (like ham, egg and cheese McMuffin sandwiches) w/ fresh farm eggs!
...regularly scheduled doctor check-ups (and shots...boo!).
...and of course, LOTS of laughs!
