Visiting the Razorbacks

On our way home from CO, we told Kennedy we were "going home to Arkansas". And then she stated, "We're going home to my house?" We obviously told her, "Yes". Then, she would associate coming back to AR w/ the Razorbacks. She just kept asking, "And we'll get to see the Razorbacks?"
Not thinking very much of it, we pulled into the driveway Sun. evening from our long trip home...just to have Kennedy throw a decent size fit. Lovely. Come to find out, she was VERY serious a/b seeing the Razorbacks and thought going back to AR meant going to campus to see the Arkansas Razorbacks play. After realizing that we didn't have any groceries in the fridge inside the house anyway, we decided to take a short trip to campus and get some dinner while we were out too. Kennedy had been in such a great mood the entire wk. and better than we could have ever asked for during such a long car trip. Therefore, we sort-of "rewarded" her by taking her to see the Razorbacks.



Now...obviously, no team on campus plays on a Sun. night @ 6:30 pm. However, she settled for stopping to look @ the new turf in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (or maybe that was for Momma/Daddy's benefit?), and a few visits to some of the Razorback statues around campus @ various locations. The new HOG in the middle of the field is fabulous and SO much larger than we've ever had! LOVE it! Plus, it seems like every new bldg./facility they build on campus gets a new iron HOG statue right outside of it. But just in case you're interested in ever stealing the incredibly large and insanely heavy HOG pictured below (by the Gardens-tailgating area)...it's under 'constant video surveillance'. Ha!
Either way...it was a pretty fun, impromptu visit to campus during great weather. And it made her very happy...which made it even more worth it! Kennedy even got to listen the the Razorback Marching Band drumline rehearsing on the Gardens' grounds. She loved it and didn't want to leave!
