Play dates and more play dates!

We have been LOVING us some play dates so far this Summer! Kennedy gets so stinkin' excited every time she gets to "see her friends". And, Will is just up for anything really. : ) They are usually pouring sweat throughout the play date b/c they just play SO hard the entire time! And even though it would obviously be easier for Will to be walking @ our get-togethers...he is just fine crawling and climbing all over any and all surfaces (pavement, rubber tire, grass, water, etc.). He certainly does NOT have any sensory issues w/ touching grass like his big sis' did @ his age.

I decided months ago that all of the young Moms @ church and our kiddos weren't getting together NEAR enough. We all seem to enjoy each other's company so much and our kids certainly look fwd. to each time they get to spend together. Therefore, I've been trying to take some initiative and plan them a couple times a month at least. And they're always SO FUN! (Or at least, the 3 of us enjoy them. Ha, ha.)
But, we've also had some really great play dates w/ close friends outside of church as well lately (even some who drove from Fort Smith!). Kennedy enjoys learning so much, Will adores the time outside (esp.), and I simply cherish the adult conversation w/ my close lady friends!

I'm so thankful that the Lord has such a special way of surrounding us w/ different types of friends and family members. They all have such beautiful qualities a/b themselves that are unique to them only. And they all challenge me and help make me a better person and a stronger Christian woman in very different ways.

Here are just some of the MANY, MANY pictures that I've shot @ some recent play dates:

* At the park w/ Angie and Lydia as well as Amy and Luke...

HOT day, but fun play time and picnic together!

* Climbing and exploring on the inflatables @ JumpZone in Bentonville w/ Kristin, A.J. and Gavin (Ella stayed in Ft. Smith w/ her Grandma)...

NOTE: It was SO hard to get a picture of K and Gavin together @ JZ b/c they were constantly running in opposite directions. : ) Or, the pictures just turned out incredibly blurry as they were in the process of climbing or sliding. However, they were able to play together a lot more @ the end once the place cleared out a bit. They play SO well together.
And, randomly...we ran into a little friend of K's that we haven't seen in a year. Kennedy and Peyton (sp?) were SO thrilled to see each other and surprisingly remembered each other very well! It was a sweet surprise on an already fun day. Patrick was even able meet us for a little while near the end of the play time @ JZ and for lunch. K was thrilled of course!

* Touring the Air and Space Museum in Fayetteville w/ my friend Amber, her son Garrett, and her daughter Anna...

Awesome place, awesome friends. Will was literally in awe of everything @ the museum, and these pics (just a fraction of the ones I took) don't do it justice. And for lunch...Chick-Fil-A of course!

* Spending the day @ the Lindley's with Amber and her two (Garrett and Anna), Sydnee and her boys (Tate and Dax) as well as Wendy and her 4 little men (Kaeden, Kyle, Isaac and Micah)...

Lots of motorized vehicle-riding, swing set playin', play house acting, and sprinkler fun! We will HAVE to repeat this one for sure!

You should look into starting a MOPS group. I church has one and it's basically the same thing but you also throw in a little bit of mommies only time.

Cari - I've actually been really thinking a/b that! I now know several people who have found a MOPS group and seem to love it.
