the beautiful bride moments b/f walking down the aisle
praying before their vows
the smile that kept getting larger
the entire wedding party
some of our friends in the house party a/b to cut the cake (that Cole's grandfather MADE)
A couple of hrs. after we returned home from church camp, unloaded, & all of the parents picked their children up @ church...Patrick, Kennedy & I reported to University Bapt. Church in Fayet. for Caroline & Cole's rehearsal.
Patrick & I became friends w/ Caroline in the Marching Razorbacks in college. We met Cole a few yrs. ago when they started dating & found out the small world of him actually being from Broken Arrow (where I grew up).
Caroline gave me the special honor of being one of her wedding coordinators, & my responsibilities included the ceremony details (as opposed to the reception decor., etc.). Their reh. dinner was @ the beautiful new Gardens on the Univ. of Ark. campus, and the barbeque & dancing made for a blast of a reh. dinner! Caroline & Cole have an amazing Christian support system behind them, & it was truly evident in the testimonies that were given a/b the 2 of them.
The next day I enjoyed a special bridal brunch w/ Caroline & her bridesmaids @ the church. Then on to the last details of the ceremony/reception for their 3 p.m. ceremony. After a quick shower & run-through of Patrick's solo, we headed back to the church to get there early. Caroline looked absolutely radiant & Cole is a true example of class! It's always beautiful to be able to attend a worship service on top of a wedding ceremony. And that's certainly what it was! The congregation as well as Caroline & Cole ALL joined in singing w/Patrick on the beautiful "Amazing Grace: My Chains Are Gone".
There were NO words to describe it...only chill-bumps! (We don't have a lot of pictures b/c we were too busy making sure everything ran smoothly. Plus, some of our best friends were the photographers.)
We were a little stressed b/c we were leaving out of town for another wk. (this time to FL) only a/b 5 hrs. after we left the reception. However, we enjoyed the wonderful wknd. w/ friends & thought it such a joy to be involved in such a God-honoring union!
Thanks to Mom & Dad who came for the wedding, but ended up helping A LOT w/ Kennedy during the busy events of the wknd. And, thanks so much to Patrick's Mom for volunteering to help w/ our dirty camp laundry since we were on such a short time schedule b/f leaving for FL. You all made it possible! We love you!
