Not your average kitty cat!

Unlike most cats in this world, our Calico (Gabby) is remotely mild & friendly! We have had a cat in our household for most of my life & I have loved each and every one of them. However, I can't say the same for all of my friends & family (you know who you are). No, really! (Patches was a chore, I agree).
It definitely takes a special type of love to adore such a moody, finicky, stubborn, lazy, animal. Nonetheless, cats are extremely affectionate, trusting, and dependable as well.
Patrick surprised me w/ Gabby a couple of yrs. ago as a belated birthday gift, and I have never loved a cat more. She's normally SO great around people & doesn't go off and hide in rooms very often unless truly annoyed.
Despite the many mixed opinions out there on declawing cats, we decided to declaw Gabby almost immed. We were NOT willing to lose any furniture due to the gaining of a new family member. And, she is an "inside only" cat as well.
We could NOT ask for a sweeter cat towards Kennedy. Kennedy has a sweet love for Gabby & has gone around saying her name (while meowing) since she was very young. She allows all 3 of the kids (Kennedy & the other 2 I watch) to do almost anything to her now. She just sits there & tries to ignore it if possible. Otherwise, she simply stands up & flees the situation. They have obviously done as much as they can think of to her behind my back. They pull her tail, poke her eyes, attempt to put toys in her mouth, "tickle" her, feed her their sippee cups, etc.
She is a JOY of a cat & we love her!
Here's Kennedy telling Maddox a/b her kitty cat & loving on her like usual. Also are some pics of Gabby playing w/ one of Kennedy's toy mats. She is very interested in the little bugs floating around in the water & tries to capture them. Very funny!
