fixing dinner together (what a blast to do it together for a change!)

our masterpiece

Kennedy loved the parmesan chicken & veggies too much for a picture

We woke up our first morning in FL to dark skies a/b to open up & pour all over our beautiful, soft sand! UGH! After a little b.f. & a small pep-talk to the clouds, we & all of the couples decided to make the most of the rainy day & head to Destin for the day. The forecast was "right on" as the rain didn't end until around dinner that evening.
We spent our day taking advantage of the outdoor shopping centers in Destin, and then heading back to the beach house w/ Jon & Em late in the afternoon to play some cards & give Lil' Miss a nap.
That evening after cooking a lovely meal all together, we headed out to view the BEAUTIFUL post-rain sunset & finally get in our swimsuits for the first time of the trip. Only having an hr. or two b/f dark, we tried to make the most of our 1st evening out on the beach. The Lord blessed us w/ the most amazing sunset we had EVER seen, & we were just thankful for the opportunity to even have a glance @ how perfect God's creation truly is!
