BUSY Saturday (District mtg./tailgating/Razorback game)

Last Saturday, Patrick and I headed out to our District Ladies' Aux. mtg. hosted @ one of the churches in our assoc. It normally just involves the ladies that are involved in this womens' ministry @ church, but Patrick was actually asked to be the guest speaker this mtg. He did a wonderful job speaking to a rm. FULL of women and spoke on many issues that related to us directly. I was very proud of how well prepared he was and how well he related! He is such a hard worker and that's one reason why I love him so much!
While we were @ the mtg., Gammi and Pops enjoyed a Sat. morning alone w/ Kennedy @ our home. They had some great quality time while we were gone.
After we returned home around lunch, several members of my family came over to "tailgate" b/f heading to the Razorback game vs. Ole Miss. We enjoyed each others' company and even spent some time outside w/ Lil' Miss due to the gorgeous weather that day!
Later that afternoon, the family all headed to campus for the big game! What a FULL day worth of events! The game was bitter-sweet as we BARELY lost to one of our big rivals...the Ole Miss Rebels! UGH! One of the main reasons this rivalry has been intensified is due to the fact that our former coach, Houston Nutt, is now coach @ Ole Miss. The events surrounding his leaving @ the U of A certainly made history w/ how terrible it all went down. It would have been nice to hold on to a lead and beat his socks off...but I guess there's always next yr.
One last comment...WORST OFFICIATING EVER @ the game last Sat.! Who calls an offensive pass interference on our wide receiver when he's obviously TWO ft. in front of the cornerback that's guarding him????? UGH again! We were so angry, but what can you do?! Needless to say, the officials that day were covered w/ police protection post-game while leaving the field! We heard the loudest "Boo" and roar of the stadium too.
