1st snow of the...FALL???

There's nothing like a little BEAUTIFUL snow only a few days after celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday! One Sunday ago, we woke up to a light snow falling everywhere. After only a dusting on the windshields and rooftops, we headed to church and then on to Huntsville to eat lunch w/ P's family (for another Thanksgiving celebration). While in Huntsville, we received a significant amt. of snow again that afternoon. It was just beautiful and our niece wanted to play in it SO BAD! There obviously wasn't NEAR enough to play in, however. She was VERY upset!
Then, after returning to church Sun. night, the snow picked up again and even again after we headed to bed. We woke up to this site Mon. morning w/ some disappointed neighbor kids headed to school still. The roads were fine, but it defin. caused some horrible wrecks on our major hwy. Approx. 40 wrecks to be exact from Sun. night/Mon. morning...due to black ice. Geeeeez!
Still, it was such a nice surprise and refreshing treat for our first EARLY snow of the 2008-2009 Winter season (even though it's not technically even Winter yet)! Isn't God amazing?!
