The wknd. after TX, Sarah came to Northwest AR for a couple nights and we had the pleasure of having her stay w/ US! We just talked each others' ears off during those 3 days and caught up as much as possible. Amidst all of the activities we did during those days, the greatest was all of the quality time Kennedy got to spend w/ her. Kennedy has heard a/b her "Aunt Sarah" ever since she was born, and even met her @ a/b 5 months old once (for 1 hr. one evening when she was in the states)...but there are no words to describe how happy we were for this opportunity.
For those who don't know already, Sarah and I roomed together all 4 yrs. of college and she ultimately became my best friend through it all. We knew EVERYTHING a/b each other and did almost everything together too. She played a vital part in my college experience and she even became one of the closest friends to Patrick as well through those wonderful years!
We were SO proud of Sarah when she followed the call to the mission field, but it was very bittersweet as well as we realized the length of time that she would be gone.
THREE full years later, Sarah returned home safe and sound, after touching more lives than we could probably count. We know that the Lord used her talents, her efforts, and her grace to reach the lost...and we're so thankful for her diligence and faith!
We had a JOY of a wknd. w/ her and even threw her a surprise party the night she arrived. It was SO MUCH FUN catching up w/ a lot of friends from college, etc. We are thankful for ALL of them!
