Kennedy has only been saying that she wanted a "baby sisser" (no 't') for the last several of weeks, so we're going to have to work on the words "baby brother" now! : )
The ultrasound showed our baby boy weighing approx. 9 oz. and measuring perfectly all across the board. He was defin. ALL boy from the views she was able to catch of him! We got to see some awesome leg/feet action as he kept stretching his legs out and then bending/crossing them back repeatedly. It was very sweet and defin. brought tears to all of our eyes! Alongside Patrick, Kennedy and myself, were my Mom and Patrick's Mom in the rm. We all shared in Kennedy's ultrasound together, and I wouldn't have it any other way this time! It will actually be the first boy grandchild on P's side of the family, so Phyllis was overwhelmed w/ anticipation of course. I just kept saying, "Oh my gosh...I can't believe I'm having a boy!" over and over again when the ultrasound tech. showed/told us.
The rest of the appt. went well and the Dr. confirmed everything that the tech had told us a/b his measurements, etc. He and I both are measuring a little small come to find out, but the Dr. said that he's very healthy and wasn't concerned @ all. Kennedy actually measured a little small/early as well throughout my pregnancy w/ her too, and she was 6 lbs. 7 oz. & 19 in.
The ONLY thing that was concerning AT ALL was the fact that our baby boy's stomach is enlarged right now. Our Dr. said that it could be that he simply swallowed an abnormal amt. of amniotic fluid that day. However, he doesn't want to take any chances and needs to do a high-def. ultrasound again on me/him. If it were done soon, we would have to travel to Little Rock to get it done. However, our Dr. and his nurses are trying to get it taken care of here in Springdale for me. If that's the case, it will be late Jan. or early Feb. sometime. And basically, the group of doctors from LR would be available via phone (conference call sort-of) to read the results as we're seeing them and decide anything from there. He obviously told us not to lose any sleep over it or worry too much over the issue...but as a Mom, OF COURSE I'm going to! We're praying that it turns out to be nothing @ all or that it resolves itself by the day of the ultrasound.
We're sharing it w/ you, simply to ask for even more prayer warriors. We would certainly appreciate it right now! We are excited to see what all the Lord has in store for us, for our family, and for this beautiful little boy inside of me! Thank you Lord for this amazing blessing!
our baby boy all curled up in a ball with his arm up by his head (on left)/picture of spine (on rt.)
4D shot of lil' man's face w/ hand right next to his head (JUST like Kennedy)
4D shot of his legs all stretched out in the womb (w/ section of umbilical cord obvious on far rt. of photo)
I know these ultrasound pictures aren't the greatest b/c they were taken of the screen from our camera. Therefore, I'll try to get P to scan these printed pictures as well as the Santa one & add them @ a later time. We have printed ones of his profile, a straight-on view, his feet, his boy parts, the 4 chambers of his heart, etc.

Congratulations! I am sure that Kennedy will be a good big sister to her little brother!
Congratulations!! Baby boys are so much fun. How lucky you will be to have one of each. We will definitely be praying for you. Have a blessed Christmas.
Yeah! That is so exciting!! I think you are going to love having a boy and Kennedy will be a great big sister to a little brother!
We will be praying that his little stomach is perfect and that there is nothing wrong with him! A verse that helped me along is.... "He will have no fear of bad news, his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord." Psalm 112:7
Congratulations again!! Bring on the trucks and trains!! :)
That's wonderful! Now you will have one of each! :) How fun. I definitly agree with Emily about that verse. I say it regularly. Let us know what you find out when you return. Until then, we all have time to pray for him. Have fun starting to shop, plan, think, and prepare for a boy. It will be fun changing your way of thinking from having a girl. YEA!
Great news! We will be praying that everything continues to go well. Congratulations to all.
