There was heavy rain the morning of, but it stopped right as we were headed to Lincoln early that morning. The sun even came out later on too. Kennedy does so great in her stroller still and esp. loved watching the nice man peel the apples (on the huge machine), watching the balloon lady make balloon animals for kids, and watching the lil' train ride around the Lincoln square. There was even a fun game that my nieces and Kennedy enjoyed playing (and winning candy for).
I got her a couple new bows (one was made right there in front of me after I picked out the cute ribbon/colors), and an adorable wooden turkey attachment set to be pierced into a pumpkin (included a turkey head w/ 5 colored feathers). I'm hoping to put it together and place it on our front porch this wknd. hopefully! Aunt Kim and Grandma even gave Kennedy some cotton candy later in the day as well...which she was thrilled a/b of course!
Patrick, my brother-in-law, and my father-in-law all had our associational mtg. that morning @ a local church. Therefore, Daddy wasn't able to join us @ the festival. We missed him a lot, but was pretty sure he wasn't THAT upset to have missed all of the crafts & such side of the day.
My nieces, sister-in-laws, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, Kennedy, and myself truly enjoyed ourselves...and we would defin. recommend it to anyone who likes these sort of things. It was a yummy day to say the least!
